Actress Malavika Mohanan played the power-packed character of Aarathi in Kollywood star Chiyaan Vikram’s just released period action drama, Thangalaan. The Pa Ranjith directorial collected a solid gross of Rs 26.44 crore worldwide on its opening day and is racing towards the Rs 100 crore club in the long weekend.

In a latest media interaction post Thangalaan’s release, Malavika opened up about the experience of working on Thangalaan and sharing screen with Vikram. “Working with Vikram and the entire Thangalaan team has been an unforgettable journey and an experience I will cherish forever. I’m lucky to get an opportunity to work with such an amazing co-star, Vikram, whom I’ve greatly admired. Getting to portray such a unique and strong character in a story that’s class apart,” said the young beauty.

Malavika is now eagerly waiting for Thangalaan’s Hindi release, which is scheduled on August 30. “I’m thrilled and can’t wait for everyone to see the hard work and passion that went into making this film, and the Hindi audience to also experience it,” she added. Also starring Mollywood actress Parvathy Thiruvothu and British actor Daniel Caltagirone in key roles, Thangalaan is produced by Studio Green’s Gnanavel Raja. GV Prakash Kumar is the film’s music composer.
