Recently, a Tamil film named Vaazhai has hit the screens. The movie was directed by Mari Selvaraj, who previously made films like Pariyerum Perumal, Karnan, and Mamannan. Despite featuring
not-so-popular actors, the children’s drama turned out to be a superhit at the box office with about Rs. 40 crores.
The movie was released exactly a week before Thalapathy Vijay’s The GOAT, and hence, its box office prospects were affected to a considerable extent. Vaazhai completed its theatrical run, and is now all set for its OTT debut. Disney Plus Hotstar holds the digital rights of Vaazhai, and the film will be available for streaming from 11th October.
Not just in Tamil, Vaazhai will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi languages from the said date. The movie stars debutants Ponvel and Raghul in the lead roles, alongside Kalaiyarasan, Nikhila Vimal, J. Satish Kumar, Dhivya Duraisamy, Janaki, Priyanka Nair and Nivedita Rajappan in supporting roles. Santosh Narayanan composed the tunes.
