Telugu actor Satya Dev is set to captivate audiences once again with his upcoming project, Zebra. Initially slated for release on October 31, 2024, the movie’s debut was postponed.

Today, the team announced a new release date, with Zebra now scheduled to hit theaters on November 22, 2024. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi, coinciding with Vishwak Sen’s Mechanic Rocky.

Directed by Eashvar Karthic, Zebra is a thrilling drama featuring a talented ensemble cast, including

Daali Dhananjaya, Jeniffer Piccinato, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Satyaraj, Sunil, Satya, and others. The music, composed by Ravi Basrur, is set to add an intense layer to the film’s atmosphere.

Produced by SN Reddy, Bala Sundaram, and Dinesh Sundaram, Zebra is backed by Padmaja Films Private Ltd and Old Town Pictures. Promotional activities for the movie are expected to begin soon, building anticipation for this high-stakes thriller.

Bollywood acting duo Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora are no longer together. It looks like the couple fell out and ended their relationship. But, the two actors did not make any official announcement on the same, but during Singham Again’s promotions, Arjun commented that he is currently single.

The statement from Arjun Kapoor brings curtains down for his 8-long-year relationship with Malaika Arora.

During a promotional event of Singham Again, the crowd kept chanting Malaika’s name and asked Arjun about how she was. A smiling Arjun smiled and relied, saying, “Nahi nahi abhi single hun, relax karo.”

Arjun Kapoor said that he is currently single which is an indication that he broke up with Malaika. When Arjun made the comment, we can see Rohith Shetty and Tiger laughing in the background.

Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming film Thandel also attracted release date confusion, with the film getting ready by January. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film features Chay and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles. Geetha Arts bankroll the film. Speaking at an event today, Chandoo Mondeti shared his thoughts on the film’s release date. Unlike others, he did not mince words but spoke practically about the situation in front of him.

First and foremost, Chandoo Mondeti clarified that the team won’t be ready with the first copy by December, ruling out a Christmas release. Instead, he hinted that the project should be completed by January. He hinted at what could happen since there is stiff competition for the Sankranthi slots.

“With Ram Charan’s Gamechanger releasing for Sankranthi and Venkatesh’s next also for the same occasion and if Allu Aravind garu and Chaitanya garu consider it, there is a chance that we will be pushed to a later date,” said Chandoo Mondeti as the team has not fully arrived at a concrete decision on Thandel’s release.

While Sankranti would be an ideal release, Allu Aravind might reconsider Thandel’s slot if Ram Charan’s film is released. With competition from top stars like Venkatesh, Balakrishna, and Ajith, careful planning is essential.

Thandel is projected to be a high-budget film in Chaitanya’s career, which could change his game in the film industry. A solo release might give Thandel the strong start it deserves rather than being one among the many for the festival.

In Thandel, Chaitanya takes on a unique role as a young fisherman from a village, with a backdrop involving India and Pakistan, and fans are also eagerly awaiting Devi Sri Prasad’s music. With only about ten days of shooting left, this delay could be due to Sai Pallavi’s commitments to promote Amaran and Chaitanya’s busy schedule with his engagement and the ANR National Award event.

Speaking in an interview during the promotions of Kanguva, Suriya said, “At the age of 18, she moved to Chennai, and she is with my family and me, and she gave up her career. She spent 27 years in Chennai. But now, she is back in Mumbai, enjoying her Bandra lifestyle.”

“But, I think whatever a man craves, a woman also craves the same. She needs her time, and why should I take her away from her parents and lifestyle? It was the thought that I realized very late. At the same time, my kids also found their interesting subjects in Mumbai and their schooling is also going well here. Hence, I decided to balance between Chennai and Mumbai,” he said.

Going by what Suriya said, it seems a conscious decision to keep Jyothika happy. Suriya is someone who is always known for having his private time with family. The way he realized how important it was for Jyothika also to work on herself and her career and the way he took the big decision is definitely impressive.

So, the couple is not on the verge of separation but planning their lives in such a way that the entire family lives happy.

Compared to all other South Indian Movies, Telugu movies usually do very well at the North America Box Office, especially in the USA. In fact, the top two highest-grossing Indian films in North America at the moment are Telugu films, Baahubali 2 & Kalki 2898 AD. 

2024 is going to be a landmark year for Telugu movies Box Office in North America. FFor the first time ever, the cumulative gross of all the Telugu movies released in a single calendar year is going to cross fifty million dollars and even has a chance to cross the sixty million mark with ‘Pushpa2: The Rule’, the most awaited sequel scheduled to release in theatres on 05th December. 

So far this year, close to $43 Million Gross was collected from all the Telugu films released in North America with the Top six grossing films being – Kalki 2898 AD – $18.57 Million, Devara – $6.01 Million, Hanuman – $5.26 Million, Tillu 2 – $2.93 Million, Guntur Kaaram – $2.63 Million & Saripodhaa Sanivaaram – $2.5 Million. 

With the much-awaited Pushpa2:The Rule, the cumulative gross of Telugu movies this year will surely touch the fifty million mark and has a very good chance to even touch the sixty million mark if Pushpa2 manages to live up to the expectations. 

2024 is just the beginning. With the increase in Telugu diaspora in the USA post-Covid, especially the students, crossing the fifty million cumulative gross mark evevery year is going to be a new norm going forward if the big stars release at least one film a year.
