Producer Naga Vamsi is highly confident about the success of his upcoming release, Lucky Baskhar. Directed by Venky Atluri and starring Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary, the film is set to release tomorrow, with an extensive number of premieres scheduled for today across AP and TS. On this occasion, we caught up with Naga Vamsi, and here’s the transcript of our conversation.

Lucky Baskhar has high expectations even before its release. How does that feel?

It’s truly gratifying. Some films bring a deep sense of satisfaction just in making them, and Lucky Baskhar has done that. We are very confident, which is why we decided to hold premiere shows.

Why did you choose to have premieres for this film?

We believe the film will generate strong, positive word of mouth. The response has been so good that we even increased the number of shows. Positive feedback could lead to a strong opening day.

What makes your collaboration with Venky Atluri special?

Some relationships go beyond success or failure and are built on trust. Venky is one such director, and that’s why we’re working on multiple projects together.

Can you share a bit about the film’s story?

The story explores how far someone can go in the pursuit of money. Set against a banking backdrop, it blends family drama with thriller elements. Within the first ten to fifteen minutes, viewers are fully immersed in Baskhar’s world.

What makes Baskhar’s character relatable?

Baskhar is a character every viewer will root for. He progresses in life through his wit and intelligence, without deceiving anyone, making him both relatable and endearing.

Does Lucky Baskhar have a message?

It’s not a message-driven film. Lucky Baskhar is unique in Telugu cinema with strong commercial elements. It keeps viewers captivated without relying on action sequences, making it an entertaining experience. Editor Naveen Nooli, who’s rarely easily satisfied, praised the film. Both I and Trivikram, along with the entire team, are very confident in its success.

Young and talented writer-director Sandeep Raj started his career with short films and gained recognition with Her and Athidi. His feature directorial debut, Colour Photo, which was released directly on OTT, turned out to be a sensational hit, propelling him to fame.

On the professional front, Sandeep Raj has announced his second feature film, Mougli, featuring Roshan Kanakala. Pre-production is currently underway, with filming expected to begin soon and a release planned for 2025. It is official that Sai Pallavi is playing Sita role in Ramayana movie made in Bollywood by Nitesh Tiwari. The movie has Ranbir kapoor in lead as Lord Rama. Recently, the KGF star Yash revealed he is playing Raavan in the movie and also divulged that taking in Sai Pallavi for the project was a collaborative decision while saying she is a fabulous actor.

In a recent interview while promoting Amaran, Sai Pallavi was asked to give out a few details about her playing Sita in Ramayana. The actress laughed off saying she can’t really reveal anything at the moment and it was written in the contract.

However, the actress says it is a very spiritial experience for her, like how all films are. ‘I look for personal growth in all films. To be playing the character of Sitamma, I first have to shut down the fear of wanting to be Sitamma. Everytime I try to be there, I pray saying, you act through me and do what you have to do for the people, I am just a vessel and you act through me,’ Sai Pallavi says.

‘In fact, I don’t want to be actress Sai Pallavi, but want to be a devotee Sai Pallavi through which I have been given an opportunity to be playing Sithamma. I will learn whatever I get to through the movie and may be we will discuss about what I learned’, added Sai Pallavi.
