Vettaiyan, starring Superstar Rajinikanth, received mixed responses from the audience. The movie, directed by TJ Gnanavel, had a good first weekend, but later it dropped significantly. The biggie had a multilingual release in theatres. Vettaiyan is expected to premiere on Amazon Prime on November 7.

A reputed trade analyst from Kollywood said, “Vettaiyan doesn’t have an eight-week theatrical window since its Hindi version didn’t release in multiplexes. As the movie is still running in theatres, the OTT announcement will be revealed a day or two before the release.”

Vettaiyan also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Ritika Singh, and Rohini in key roles. Produced by Subaskaran of Lyca Productions, the movie has its tunes by Anirudh Ravichander.

Interview: Kiran Abbavaram – KA’s climax is unlike any other | Latest Telugu cinema news | Movie reviews | OTT Updates, OTT

Young and talented actor Kiran Abbavaram is set to captivate audiences on the silver screen with KA, a mystery thriller scheduled for a grand release on December 31, 2024. With anticipation building around the film, Kiran Abbavaram sat down with us to share his experiences and insights. Here are the highlights from our conversation.

Tell us about KA.

Directors Sandeep and Sujith presented a story filled with unpredictable twists. It felt fresh to set it against a ’70s backdrop, and they executed it innovatively. I’m confident the audience will connect with the story. Many assume the title is linked to my name, but that’s not the case – the meaning behind it is revealed in the climax.

Tell us about your character.

I play Abhinaya Vasudev, a postman in a rural village called Krishnagiri, set in 1977. Coming from a village myself, I related to this role. It’s a character we don’t often see, so I worked on capturing authentic speech and mannerisms to reflect that era.

You mentioned the climax is unique. Can you elaborate?

We approached the climax in a new way. It’s unlike any other, which is why I said that if the film doesn’t feel fresh, I won’t do more films. Some are comparing KA with Kantara or Virupaksha, but our story is purely psychological, with no devotional aspects. The suspense revolves around “who, what, and where,” keeping the audience guessing.

Are you worried about spoilers since it’s a suspense thriller?

Yes, a bit. We hope audiences who see it first will keep the twists under wraps. I trust the media to support us with reviews that don’t give away the surprises.

Your recent films didn’t meet audience expectations. How is KA different?

I’m aware fans were disappointed with my last two films, so we focused on making KA fresh and engaging. This film has a distinct, rustic feel, and the suspense unfolds in the climax. We believe viewers will feel they’ve experienced something unique.

How was it working with directors Sandeep and Sujith?

Both Sandeep and Sujith were focused and clear on set. They managed everything smoothly, including post-production. I enjoyed working with them, and their commitment to originality is commendable.

Tell us about the heroines.

Thanvi Ram plays Radha and does an exceptional job. Her character reveals much about our own. Nayan Sarika, as Satya Bhama, plays my character’s love interest. Both have vital roles in the story.

What are your future plans?

This year has been memorable for me – getting married and now KA’s release. After this, I plan to take a short break and then look ahead to my next project.

‘KA’ climax will surpraise you – Hero Kiran Abbavaram

Young, talented hero Kiran Abbavaram stars in the highly anticipated period thriller “KA.” Nayan Sarika and Tanvi Ram are playing the heroines in this movie. Presented by Mrs. Chinta Varalakshmi, Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy is producing it under the banner Srichakraas Entertainments with impressive production values. The director duo Sujith and Sandeep is creating “KA,” set against a village backdrop with an action thriller story. The film is gearing up for a grand theatrical release in Telugu on the occasion of Diwali on the 31st of this month. “KA” will be released in Telugu by producer Vamsi Nandipati and in Malayalam by hero Dulquer Salmaan through Wayfarer Films. In a recent interview, Kiran Abbavaram discussed the highlights of the movie “KA” along with his experience.

“We tried to present the climax of the movie in a new way. No film has had such a climax until now. That’s why I made a bold statement that if you don’t feel the novelty, I won’t do films. Many are comparing this movie with ‘Kantara’ and ‘Virupaksha,’ but that will not be the case. It all goes psychologically. There are no devotional points. The movie unfolds with the suspense of who is what and where. Each time, the three points of who, what, and where trigger the audience. As it is a suspense thriller, we are concerned that those who see the movie on the first day will reveal the twists through social media. But we hope that all the media friends will give positive reviews about the twists. “There are action sequences in the climax of this movie, including fights on a bullock cart and running on the roofs of houses. We have worked very hard to make these action scenes realistic, and we are physically strained. During the shoot, the entire area was covered with dust. Filming these action sequences was physically demanding. We did it for the theatrical experience of the movie. The trailer does not show many characters, as the story should not be revealed.
