With the successes of the KGF series and Salaar, Prashanth Neel became one of the most popular filmmakers in India.

Currently, he has Salaar 2 and a movie with Jr NTR in the lineup. Meanwhile, Prashanth wrote the script for the recently released film, Bagheera. Generally, there will be good buzz around the film when Prashanth Neel is involved in it.

However, Bagheera failed to gain that buzz only because the team failed to promote it in the name of Neel. Hombale Films invested a lot of money in a medium-range hero like Sri Murali only for Prashanth Neel.

But unfortunately, the movie failed to recover its costs. First of all, the movie’s plot is not interesting at all. It follows the story of Mangaluru ACP Vedanth (Sri Murali) who has been an ardent fan of superheroes since his childhood and aspires to be a police officer just to become like a superhero.

However, his aspirations are restricted by evil forces. In the process, he becomes vigilante Bagheera and starts attacking criminals at night. That’s when he happens to lock horns with Rana (Garuda Ram). What follows next is a typical commercial story.

Director Suri’s screenplay and treatment are very outdated, making Bagheera a tiresome watch. There is no emotional arc for the hero and thus, the audience fails to get connected to the story.

Even the love track with heroine Rukmini Vasanth is very weak. With all elements failing, Bagheera ends up as a huge disappointment and even Prashanth Neel fans were shocked to see such a story from him.

Unfortunately, these images are often misused, creating trouble for celebrities. Recently, popular actress Mrunal Thakur became a victim of such photo morphing.

An Instagram user made a Diwali video of himself posing with a morphed picture of Mrunal Thakur. The actress lost her cool after coming across the content and lashed out at the user. Do you really believe that what you’re doing is cool? It’s not!). Mrunal might not have reacted in such a way if only her pic was morphed.

 But she was furious with the netizen only because his job is to post morphed pictures of various celebrities on social media. She might have decided to teach him a lesson, saying that whatever he has done is not right. Mrunal was always vocal about such issues. Earlier, she also took a stand for Rashmika Mandanna during the latter’s deepfake video incident. 

 On the career front, Mrunal Thakur was last seen in the movie The Family Star, alongside Vijay Deverakonda. She is currently working on the Hindi film Son of Sardaar 2.

Mega Prince Varun Tej is set to appear in the PAN-Indian film Matka, directed by Karuna Kumar of Palasa 1978 fame. The movie is a period-action drama, and the makers spent huge bucks to recreate the bygone era. The movie is releasing on 14th November, and today, Megastar Chiranjeevi unveiled the theatrical trailer.

The trailer talks about the addiction to Makta gambling and the problems that lie with greediness. This is something that has a high chance of striking a chord with middle-class families.
The film features Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead. Nora Fatehi, Naveen Chandra, Ajay Ghosh, Kannada Kishore, Ravindra Vijay, and Ravi Shankar essayed vital roles. Produced by Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Thalluri under the banners of Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainment, the film’s soundtrack is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.

Tollywood hero Kiran Abbavaram heaved a sigh of relief after his latest release ‘KA’, a period thriller which offers a blend of action and emotion set in a fictional hilly village, received promising reports from all quarters despite heavy competition from other Diwali releases.

The solid pre-release buzz, courtesy of strong promotional content, ensured that the film opens well on the first day even after getting low number of screens in Telugu States and having no release in neighbouring states. As per trade reports, KA punched out just over 6 Crores gross on its opening day and gave the career biggest start for Kiran Abbavaram. This is a sensational start for a low budget film.

Due to the glowing word of mouth and decent reviews, the second day numbers of KA are bigger than the first day. Going by the current trend, the film is likely to have a impressive weekend and set to breach the break-even mark in Telugu States. Reportedly, the AP and Telangana rights were bagged by producer Vamshi Nandipati for 12 Crores.

Trade analysts predict that the buyers will see profits by the end of first weekend as the film is likely to surpass the magic figure because of the terrific footfalls.

KA benefited largely from the intriguing narration, technical finesse and stunning performances. Despite a few shortcomings, the action episodes with a right mix of action and drama helped the film garner decent reports. Directed by Sandeep and Sujith, KA has music by Sam CS.
