Bollywood always comes up with solid web series one after the other and makes headlines. The latest one to do so is IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack which is now streaming on Netflix.

The series is based on a true story that happened on December 24, 1999. An Indian Airlines plane from Katmandu to Delhi was hijacked in a cinematic fashion and was taken away to Kandahar by a few Pakistani terrorists.

The terrorists demanded to release of the dreaded terrorist Maulana Masood Azhar who was lodged in a jail in India. The Indian government had no choice but to release Azhar to save the lives of people on board. The same incident has been made into a web series now.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha, this series has Naseeruddin Shah, Arvind Swamy, Pankaj Kapoor, Vijay Varma, Dia Mirza, Manoj Pahwa, and many other seasoned actors in key roles.

Ever since this show started streaming on Netflix, it has become a talking point. All those who have an eye for kidnap dramas and thrillers can give this a shot.
