Natural Star Nani is basking in a wave of success, with his recent films receiving both critical acclaim and commercial success. At the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2024 held in Dubai, his films emerged as major winners, capturing a total of nine awards.
In Dasara, Nani delivered a standout performance, earning him the Best Actor (Telugu) award. The film also garnered four other awards, including Best Actress for Keerthy Suresh, Best Director for Srikanth Odela, and Best Supporting Role for Deekshit Shetty.
Hi Nanna was the star of SIIMA’s first night, clinching five awards. Highlights included Best Actress (Critics) for Mrunal Thakur, Best Debutant Director for Shouryuv, and Best Music Director for Hesham Abdul Wahab. Additionally, Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala of Vyra Entertainments was named Best Debutant Producer, while Baby Kiara took home the award for Best Supporting Actress.
Both Dasara and Hi Nanna had previously won accolades at the Filmfare Awards as well. Nani showcased his versatility in these films – playing a high-energy, action-oriented role in Dasara and a sophisticated character in Hi Nanna. Both movies proved to be substantial financial successes for their producers.
Nani’s latest release, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, becomes one of the biggest blockbusters of his career. He is also currently working on HIT: The 3rd Case, which has just begun production.
