Ravi Teja’s Mr Bachchan was released in cinemas worldwide yesterday amid high expectations. Despite the mixed reviews and an average word of mouth among movie lovers, the film collected a decent gross of about Rs 7.75 crore across the world on its opening day. The film should utilize the long weekend advantage to bring some cheer to its buyers.

As part of the post-release promotions, Mr Bachchan’s team will be visiting the iconic Vimal Theatre in Hyderabad’s Balanagar tonight. The team, including Ravi Teja, heroine Bhagyashree Borse, and director Harish Shankar, will be watching the 8 pm show along with fans. Vimal Theatre has been closed for a long time for its renovation, and has reopened as Mythri Theatres-Vimal with Mr Bachchan.
