Disney Plus Hotstar, known for providing fresh and engaging content to OTT audiences, is set to launch a new web series titled Harikatha – Sambhavami Yuge Yuge. The series will be streamed under the Hotstar Specials banner. Produced by TG Vishwaprasad under the People Media Factory banner, Harikatha is directed by Maggi. The series features an ensemble cast, including Divi, Pujitha Ponnada, Rajendra Prasad, Sriram, Mounika Reddy, Arjun Ambati, Ruchira Sadhineni, Shriya Kottam, Usha Sri, and others in key roles. The series will be available for streaming starting December 13, with the trailer released today.
In Harikatha, the story draws inspiration from Lord Krishna’s teachings in the Bhagavad Gita, where he states that he will reincarnate to restore righteousness whenever it is threatened by unrighteousness. The series explores a unique narrative where a mysterious figure, embodying various avatars of Lord Vishnu—such as Parashurama, Narasimha, and Vamana—punishes criminals in a village. The police launch an investigation to uncover the identity of this figure and the motive behind the killings. The trailer presents an intriguing investigative crime thriller with a mythological twist. Rajendra Prasad plays a theatrical actor portraying God in plays, while Sriram takes on the role of the investigating police officer.
