Chiyaan Vikram’s much-awaited movie Thangalaan was released on August 15 and received a decent opening in India despite its clash with multiple big projects. The film benefited from the Independence Day holiday and collected whopping first-day collections worldwide.

Studio Green, which produced this magnum opus, shared the first-day collections on social media. Officially, the team announced that the movie had collected Rs 26.44 crores in gross on its first day worldwide.The other important update is that the film has yet to be released in North India on August 30.

Along with the versatile actor, other notable actors like Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, Hari Krishnan, and Sampath Ram were roped in for crucial roles. GV Prakash Kumar is getting a good appreciation for his background score and music. Neelam Productions, Studio Green, and Jio Studios jointly produced the film.
