Hero Gopichand, son of legendary Telugu filmmaker T Krishna, made his debut as an actor with the 2001 romantic entertainer, Tholi Valapu. Also starring Sneha, the film was directed by Muthyala Subbaiah and it was a decent success at the box office. The film turned 23 on August 3.

Gopichand released a heartfelt note on completing 23 years as an actor. He said that he owes his journey to all his producers, directors, co-actors and all the crew belonging to every craft. “Forever thankful to the Telugu film industry for this journey and growth that I’ve experienced as an actor,” said the macho action hero.

Gopichand went on to extend his sincere gratitude to all the media members and Telugu film journalists for their support and encouragement over the years. Gopichand concluded his note by thanking all his fans for their unwavering support. “Your love keeps me going. You all are my biggest strength anyday. See u all soon with #Viswam,” he concluded.

Viswam also features young actress Kavya Thapar and Sunil in lead roles. The film is being directed by Sreenu Vaitla and produced by TG Vishwaprasad under his People Media Factory banner.
