Bollywood actress Sharvari’s recent outing Munjya did the unthinkable by entering the 100 crores nett mark in India. The actress played the titular role in Vedaa, which also stars John Abraham. The movie faced hiccups regarding the censor certificate. Last week, the makers released a press note stating that the film was sent to a revising committee without even giving a proper explanation to the movie unit.
Vedaa is scheduled to open in cinemas on Independence Day, but the statement from the team has put the film’s release in a dilemma. After that, it was said that the revising committee of the censor board would watch the film on Monday. The latest development is that the movie cleared all censor formalities today and was awarded a U/A certificate. The movie will hit the screens on the initially announced date.
Interestingly, Vedaa is said to have passed the censor process without even a single cut. A three-minute trailer will be dropped this week. Reportedly, Vedaa deals with an important issue, and Nikhil Advani of Kal Ho Na Ho fame is its director. The movie also stars Tamannaah Bhatia and Abhishek Banerjee in crucial roles.
