It is almost confirmed that Megapower Star Ram Charan’s political action drama Game Changer will hit the big screens during the Sankranthi season. It is said that Game Changer’s producer, Dil Raju, held talks with Megastar Chiranjeevi and that the latter agreed to postpone the release of his upcoming film, Vishwambhara, which was initially scheduled for Sankranthi release.
The latest buzz in the trade circles suggests that Game Changer will have its release on January 10, with USA premieres scheduled on January 9. Sankranthi has always been the best season for commercial entertainers, and if Shankar could deliver good content, then the sky would be the limit for box office destruction.
If Game Changer arrives on January 10, it will be the best date for the movie, both in domestic and international markets. There is no competition from Hollywood films in foreign markets, which allows the overseas distributors to give a wide release. The Sankranthi holiday season starts on January 13, which is immediately after the film’s first weekend, and this should help the movie maximize its revenues in the domestic market.
The official confirmation from the production house is expected to come out soon. Kiara Advani plays the female lead. SJ Suryah, who is gaining huge popularity with each film, plays Charan’s nemesis. The mega actor will be seen in dual roles in this big-ticket entertainer. Thaman is the music composer.
