Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s action war film Amaran based on real incidents is up for release on the 31st of this month. Today, the film’s grand pre-release event was organized with Kalki maker Nag Ashwin as the special guest.
Sai Pallavi said: “No matter how far I go into different languages, people will always remember me as Bhanumathi. Our films resonate with audiences everywhere, and I owe this to my wonderful Telugu directors. Amaran tells a soldier’s journey. When the army men watched the movie, they felt an intimate connection, as if they were reliving their own stories. The film strikes the right balance without over-dramatization.”
Nag Ashwin said: “Your support for Kalki has truly marked it as a milestone. Recently, I watched Sai Pallavi’s intro video, and it was beautifully crafted. I was bowled by her presence and decided to watch the film, even before watching the trailer.”
He spoke highly about Sai Pallavi and Sivakarthikeyan over their script selection and wonderful performances. “I’m a big fan of Sai Pallavi, and I admire Sivakarthikeyan’s choice of films. Though we haven’t met yet, I feel a connection with him.”
He also made it clear that he won’t be taking on any other project, before starting the second part of Kalki.
Sivakarthikeyan stated that Amaran is a true hero story based on the love of Major Mukund Varadarajan and Indu Rebecca. “This honest film depicts a soldier’s devotion to his country, family, and duty. Director Rajkumar has beautifully narrated this story. A huge thanks to producer Kamal Haasan for making this possible, and special thanks to Sudhakar Reddy for the Telugu release. I also want to thank Nithiin. This film blends action and love seamlessly.”
