August has arrived, and it’s the first Friday – a day eagerly awaited by movie lovers. Despite several releases today, none seem poised to make a significant impact at the box office.

The most notable release is Buddy, starring Allu Sirish. Despite the team’s best efforts in promotions and reducing ticket prices, the movie has been generating low buzz. Solid word of mouth may be its only hope.

Raj Tharun, who has been in the news for other reasons, has Thiragabadara Saami hitting theaters today, but it also lacks buzz. Renowned director K Vijaya Bhaskar’s Usha Parinayanam and Alanati Ramachandrudu are also releasing with minimal attention. Additionally, Average Student Nani and Viraji are lesser-known films debuting today.

This Friday seems to be another missed opportunity for Tollywood, with no movie generating significant anticipation. The weekend seems rather dull for movie buffs, leaving them no choice but to turn to OTT platforms for entertainment instead.
