Mr. Bachchan is all set to hit the screens on August 15, 2024, and there is a solid buzz for the film, which has been directed by Harish Shankar. The film has already wrapped up its censor formalities with a U/A certificate.
Now, news has come out that the board has asked the makers to change the image of Amitabh Bachchan in the titles. To elaborate, Harish Shankar used a memorable poster of Amitabh and Rekha during the late 80’s in the rolling titles of the film.
The board found this objectionable and has asked the makers to use Amitabh and his wife, Jaya Bachchan’s poster instead. It is a known act that for decades now, Amitabh has been linked to star herone Rekha all the time and this is always a tense subject in Bollywood.
As Mr Bachchan has a lot of references to Amitabh Bachchan in the film, the censor board has asked to remove this special poster of Amitabh and Rekha from the titles.
