The second annual UKIDFF health camp took place in Bhimavaram on January 20, 2025, at the prestigious DNR College. Building on the success of last year’s event, this year’s camp witnessed an impressive turnout of 3,000 attendees, underscoring the growing need for awareness and care in diabetic foot health. Under the leadership of Dr. Venu Kavarthapu and coordinated by Smt. Shyamala Uppalapati and Sai Praseedha Uppalapati, the camp brought together an elite team of diabetic foot specialists and doctors from the UK, UAE, and India. The Indian medical team included representatives from Apollo Hospital Jubilee Hills, led by Dr. Srinivas Seshabattaru; Dr. Varma group of hospitals in Bhimavaram, led by Dr. Varma; and Imperial Hospital in Bhimavaram, led by Dr. Naresh.

Smt. Shyamala Uppalapati expressed her gratitude, saying, “It fills my heart with immense pride and joy to witness the success of the second UKIDFF health camp. Seeing the overwhelming response and the significant number of people who sought care reminds us of the importance of such initiatives. This camp is a tribute to the vision of the late Sri Krishnam Raju Garu, who always believed in making healthcare accessible to everyone. We remain committed to taking this mission forward.”

Sai Praseedha Uppalapati remarked, “It is truly inspiring to see our efforts making a difference in so many lives. The team’s dedication and the support from the community have been incredible. We are motivated to conduct more such camps in the future and ensure that diabetic foot care is accessible to all.”
