Kanguva is collective effort of more than 3000 people: Suriya – Gulte

Kollywood star Suriya’s next Kanguva is directed by blockbuster filmmaker Siva. The director and his team are set to present a unique, larger-than-life epic fantasy film, which is rooted in the Tamil culture, for global audiences. The film’s promotional material impressed everyone. Kanguva will arrive in cinemas on 14th November this year with majestic release in over 10 languages and will be available in 2D, 3D, and IMAX formats.

Hero Suriya expressed his heartfelt gratitude to fans, journalists, and media friends for attending the ‘Kanguva’ event. He acknowledged all the partners involved in the film’s release, particularly UV Company for their collaboration. Emphasizing a sense of unity, he stated that their connection is deep, remarking on how their support moves him profoundly. After a two-year hiatus since his last theatrical release, he was particularly touched by the warm reception for the re-release of ‘Surya Son of Krishnan.’ Suriya revealed that ‘Kanguva’ was crafted as a unique cinematic experience over two and a half years, driven by director Siva’s passion.

Suriya also extended his thanks to his friend, rock star Devi, and cinematographer Vetri for their contributions. He highlighted the influence of director Rajamouli, noting how his guidance has inspired the team behind ‘Kanguva.’ The film is presented as a straight Telugu movie rooted in Indian cinema, and Suriya invited everyone to experience its special story on November 14. He characterized the film not merely as a warrior’s tale, but as a narrative about fighting for one’s people and the values they uphold.

Reflecting on his experiences, Suriya spoke about participating in Balakrishna’s ‘Unstoppable’ show, which left a lasting impression on him due to Balakrishna’s dedication and professionalism. He acknowledged his efforts to contribute to the film industry, inspired by icons like Kamal Haasan. Suriya pointed out that impactful movies can drive significant societal change, citing examples like the impact of ‘Kaakha Kaakha’ on individuals pursuing careers in law enforcement and the positive outcomes following the release of ‘Jai Bhim.’ He concluded by acknowledging the hard work of the 3,000 individuals involved in ‘Kanguva,’ attributing the film’s success to their collective effort.

Mythri Movie Distributors will manage the release in the Nizam region. Kanguva is bankrolled by Studio Green in association with UV Creations. The star-studded cast includes Suriya, Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Natty Natraj, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, and others. The musical score is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
