The last few years have been forgettable for the Bollywood star hero Akshay Kumar. He has only had a couple of hits (Sooryavanshi and Oh My God 2) to his name after the COVID. The actor’s much anticipated big-ticket entertainer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan also bit the dust. Then Akshay tried his hand at comedy, which is his forte.
He came up with the romantic comedy Khel Khel Khel Mein, which was released during the Independence Day weekend, clashing with Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2. Unfortunately, the rom-com entertainer also didn’t provide respite for the star hero. The film collected a little over Rs. 40 crores nett at the Indian box office in its lifetime. After the lackluster performance in theatres, Khel Khel Mein is set for its OTT release on October 9th.
Netflix, which holds the post-theatrical streaming rights of this flick, has officially confirmed the digital release date. There is no clarity about the availability of film in other languages. Khel Khel Mein is the official adaptation of the 2016 Italian movie Perfect Strangers (Perfetti Sconosciuti).
Khel Khel Mein also features Vani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk, and Pragya Jaiswal in other lead roles. Mudassar Aziz directed this film and it was produced under the T-Series, Wakaoo Films, and White World Productions banners.
