Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Powerstar Pawan Kalyan lauded Karnataka Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre for his commitment to environment and forest conservation. Speaking at a meeting held with the forest authorities, Pawan Kalyan made some sensational comments that are now going viral on social media.

Pawan Kalyan said, “The culture has transformed significantly. Forty years ago, a hero was someone who safeguards the forests. Nowadays, a hero is someone who cuts away the forests and does smuggling. Dr. Rajkumar Garu’s Gandhada Gudi is about forest conservation. I am a part of cinema, and I hate being part of those films which portray smugglers as heroes.”

Pawan Kalyan added, “Am I sending the right message to the people? This thing always revolves in my mind. Anyway, cinema is a different thing. I am talking about the cultural shift. That’s quite an interesting topic.” Though Pawan Kalyan didn’t mention any name, his comments have stirred a discussion among the netizens. A few feel that Pawan Kalyan made a general statement, while some opine that the star actor took an indirect dig at a few heroes.
