Compared to the last few movies of Thalapathy Vijay, the actor’s upcoming sci-fi action entertainer, The GOAT, has a low buzz. This can be attributed to the below-par songs. Vijay’s films generally have good songs, but Yuvan Shankar Raja failed to provide a chartbuster for The GOAT. The three songs and a glimpse released to date didn’t make the desired impact.
The overseas bookings (limited locations) have already commenced, and the initial response is encouraging. Despite the poor songs, there is a good movement in the advances and this a testament to Thalapathy’s massive stardom. As per a report, The GOAT earned about $25K from the international markets.
Still, there is a month left for the release, and if director Venkat Prabhu can come up with a solid trailer, the movie will surely register a thunderous opening. There is a buzz that the theatrical trailer will be launched in the third week of August. Meenakshi Chaudhary plays the female lead.
