The producer of Suriya’s Kanguva, Gnanavel, is expecting the film to collect over Rs. 1000 crore gross. For that to happen, it is a must that Kanguva should strike big in the Hindi market. To take the period action drama close to the Bollywood audience, the team is spending more than Rs. 20 crores for promotions.

The biggie, directed by Siruthai Siva, will be released in more than 3500 screens in North India, as stated by the producer. Unlike the majority of the PAN Indian films from Tamil cinema, Kanguva’s Hindi version will be released in the three national chains (PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis). This simply means that Kanguva will arrive on OTT only eight weeks after its theatrical release.

The first promotional event is scheduled on October 17th in Mumbai, where Suriya and the film’s antagonist, Bobby Deol, will be participating in a masterclass session with a famous Bollywood media outlet. Multiple events are said to take place further. Disha Patani is the female lead. Let’s see how the film fares in the Hindi belt.
