Chiyaan Vikram recently starred in the period action drama Thangalaan. The biggie directed by Pa. Ranjith received mixed reviews from critics. The film collected about Rs. 100 crores gross at the global box office. Malavika Mohanan played the antagonist.
Though it’s been over two months since Thangalaan was released, it is yet to arrive on OTT. Recently a few rumors stated that the digital release was delayed due to some financial issues. Producer Gnanavel Raja recently participated in an X space where he was asked to give clarity about the film’s OTT release.
Gnanavel Raja said, “They (Netflix) scheduled the release for Deepavali (Diwali). They wanted a festival release since Thangalaan is a big film. However, our favorite YouTubers are claiming that there are some issues for Thangalaan. They have a knack for claiming that there is an issue, when in reality there isn’t any.”
Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, Sampath Ram, and Hari Krishnan played crucial roles. Neelam Productions, Studio Green, and Jio Studios jointly produced this flick. GV Prakash Kumar composed the tunes. The movie is expected to arrive on Netflix on 31st October in multiple languages.
