Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, produced by Bunny Vas under the prestigious Geetha Arts banner, and presented by Allu Aravind, Thandel is based on real-life events that took place in the village of D. Matchilesam in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. Sai Pallavi plays the female lead opposite Naga Chaitanya in the movie which is fast progressing with its shoot in Hyderabad.
