NTR and Koratala Siva’s soon-to-release pan-India action drama, Devara, is one of the most eagerly awaited biggies of this year. Also starring Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles, the film is gearing up for its world theatrical release on September 27. Needless to say, the hype and expectations for this intense action drama are unprecedented, and this positive buzz is reflecting in the film’s pre-sales.
With exactly 25 days left for the film’s grand release, Devara’s pre-sales in Canada have begun today at 25 screens amid high anticipation. The craze is such that within 6 minutes of commencing the pre-sales, leading multiplex chains such as York Cinemas, Woodside Square Cinemas, Albion Cinemas, and Central Parkway Cinemas across the Greater Toronto Area region displayed fast-filling boards.
Close to 100 premieres will be held on September 26, with the first premiere scheduled to be held at 3:45 PM EST. Given the smashing response for the pre-sales, Devara could set an all-time record with the premieres.
Produced jointly by NTR’s elder brother Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Mikkilineni Sudhakar, Devara has a soundtrack composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film will be released in two parts. Stay tuned for more updates.
