The GOAT is the next biggie to arrive from Kollywood and fans of Thalapathy Vijay are waiting for bated breath for the film’s release. It is a mega-budget sci-fi action drama helmed by Venkat Prabhu. The director’s previous outing, Custody, didn’t meet the expectations, but he hopes to make a strong comeback with The GOAT.

It seems the makers are taking extreme care for the Hindi version’s release. When the Hindi trailer dropped online, many complained that the dubbing for Vijay wasn’t good, after which the producers roped in Sanket Mhatre. The latest update is that one of the producers, Archana Kalpathi, is in Mumbai, holding discussions with key people of the Multiplexes Association of India for a grand release in North India.

The production house is pulling out all the stops to give the biggest release possible in Vijay’s career. Can The GOAT recreate the magic of Venkat Prabhu’s Maanaadu and Mankatha? Let’s wait and watch. Meenakshi Chaudhary played the female lead. Vijay will be seen in a dual role as a father and son. THE GOAT opens in cinemas on 5th September.
