Ravi Teja and Harish Shankar’s third film, Mr. Bachchan, was released last week, but the action drama registered disappointing numbers in its extended first weekend. Keeping the collections aside, an aspect of the movie has caught the attention of all. Many felt that Harish Shankar trolled the wizard of words, Trivikram, indirectly in the film.
Today, Harish Shankar participated in a Q&A session with the audience, during which he was asked about his issues with Trivikram. Harish Shankar replied, “It’s a good question. This topic came to my notice. Even before I became an assistant director, Trivikram Garu received 2-3 Nandi awards for dialogues. I am extremely passionate about dialogues, and I love Trivikram sir’s dialogues.”
Harish Shankar added, “He is a senior to me. I haven’t disclosed this anywhere. My father is a huge fan of Trivikram Garu. He would have watched Athadu hundreds of times. He is like an elder son in our home. If my films have excessive commercial elements, my father would suggest me to watch Trivikram Garu’s films.”
“My father’s love for Trivikram Garu sometimes irritates me (laughs). I always wanted to show my films to Trivikram Garu’s father. I wanted him to become my fan so my father would stop suggesting me. I am a huge admirer of Trivikram Garu. We need to laugh at those baseless speculations. The kind of impact Trivikram Garu has had on Telugu cinema is astonishing,” noted Harish Shankar.
