The 11-year-old record of King Khan Shah Rukh’s Chennai Express will finally be broken today. This Rohit Shetty’s directorial holds the record in Indian cinema for highest-paid previews, with 6.75 crores nett. Looking at the current trend, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, fronted Stree 2, will comfortably cross the record of Chennai Express.

For these special premiers, which are set to start at 09:30 PM today, the movie has sold around 65K tickets in three national chains as of now. The horror comedy is looking to clock in 100K tickets for the paid previews, which is sufficient to shatter SRK’s record. For the opening day, Stree 2 has till now sold nearly 250K tickets in the national chains and looks to finish over 350K tickets. For the opening day, Stree 2 will find a place among the top ten advances of all time in Bollywood history.

The movie is expected to collect over 40 crores nett on the opening day, and if the reports are positive, the sky is the limit for box office carnage. After a long time, a Bollywood film is creating havoc at the box office, and we can expect a similar response for the upcoming crazy sequels Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which are slated for the Diwali release.
