Gorgeous actress Kavya Thapar is thrilled about the release of her new movie Double Ismart, which will hit cinemas on August 15, 2024. In the film, she stars alongside Ustaad Ram Pothineni. With the film’s release just a few days away, we had the opportunity to interact with her. Here is the transcript.
How did you get the role in Double Ismart?
When I auditioned for Puri sir and Charmme madam, they liked my performance. However, I had gained some weight due to a minor accident, so they asked me to lose it. After working hard for two months, I fit the role perfectly. I’m thrilled to work with stars like Ram sir and Sanjay Dutt, and collaborating with Puri sir and Mani Sharma sir has been amazing. Interestingly, I auditioned for iSmart Shankar but didn’t land the role then.
How is your character in this movie?
My character is bold and strong. She’s smart and independent with a touch of innocence. I even have fight scenes, which I’ve always wanted to do. I enjoyed every moment of playing the character.
How was it working with Ram?
Working with Ram sir was fantastic. He’s passionate, hard-working, and energetic. On the first day of shooting a high-energy song, I was sick, but Charmme ma’am took great care of me. After a few days, I recovered and gave my best performance. The team was incredibly supportive.
What did you learn from Puri and Charmme?
I learned a lot about patience and clarity. Puri sir has a clear vision and remains calm on set. He’s a great philosopher with deep insights about life. Also, Charmme ma’am is a powerhouse and very caring. She’s also friendly and supportive. I admire her a lot.
How is Double Ismart going to be?
Double Ismart will be a double blockbuster, which is different from iSmart Shankar. I had a great time working on it and am excited for its release on August 15, 2024.
What are your upcoming movies?
I’m working on a film called Viswam with Gopichand sir, and I have several other projects lined up.
