Gaddar Awards: Chiranjeevi’s special request to Telugu Film Industry

In January this year, Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy announced that his government would revive the prestigious Nandi Awards by rechristening them as Gaddar Awards. The CM went on to state that the Gaddar Awards will be announced very soon to honor the excellence in Telugu Cinema.
This evening, Megastar Chiranjeevi took to X and made a special request to the Telugu Film Industry and its governing bodies. Chiru said that the Film Chamber and Producer’s Council must take the initiative on behalf of the Telugu Film Industry and assist the Telangana government in fulfilling the Telangana CM’s mission to revive the iconic movie awards.
Ever since the formation of separate Telangana in 2014, the Nandi Awards were announced by the Andhra Pradesh government in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Henceforth, both the Telugu state governments will be announcing the Nandi and Gaddar Awards separately.
